I had a few minutes today to bust out the video camera with the intent of filming myself for some self critiquing (sp?). It's been almost a year since I taped myself and it's about time that I did again.
It's a valuable tool to record yourself and watch it back afterward when you are calm and not heaving from being out of breath. I was not happy with my form in the video, but hey, it's a candid, honest view of me on a Saturday without any real preparation.
I did get some valuable feedback from a very well, respected lifter, which made my weekend. Rather than type any more, here it is, unedited. (You'll notice during my jerks that I'm speaking to my postman who happened to be delivering the mail and wanted to watch a bit.)
As always, any and all comments are welcome.

form is good especially the LC. I need to do that myself, make a video, but I am kind of scary dude.

The fact that you can chat with the mail man while training is enough of a sign that you are reaching the elite ranks buddy. The bells are becoming a part of you and I suggest that you just walk around with them wherever you go. BTW, I have finally "broken down" and decided to see a bodytalk practitioner tomorrow to sort out some of my physical issues. I hope that this will get some of the pain out of my spine or at least point me in the right direction.
From a technique point of view the only part I'm not getting is why you are looking up on the LC jerks.
Thank Ken. Funny thing is I never really train long cycle. I could actually count on one hand the number of times I've trained it. Although I do know that I should start to incorporate it more often.
Johan, thanks for that point. I really don't know why I'm looking up. Except for the fact that I was looking right into the sun. I never realized I was doing that. Now I have a few things to start working on this week!
Good luck with the 'bodytalk practioner' (?) tomorrow. Let me know the outcome. I'll have similar news for you on Tuesday.
