Only with bells can one hit a PR and still be unsatisfied with their workout. Today was something of an experiment. I decided to see what it was like to perform my snatches first and my jerks second. So here's what it looked like...
Snatch: 20kg - 6 minutes @ 16 rpm (**PR**)
Jerk: 2 x 20kg - 2 minutes @ 6 rpm
As I was afraid the Snatches fried me. Although I was able to keep up my 16 rpm pace for the full 6 minutes, which is a personal record (PR). So I should be happy. But I am not happy with my Jerk set. Since this was a sparse week for training, I'm going to try to squeeze something in over the weekend. TGIF!!

Mr. Brewer! Why are you so hard on yourself? I think 96 snatches is pretty good work by itself. Why you had to go on and play around with jerks only you know. Seriously Howie, take your time and keep "playing." From what I know you are well on your way to reaching ALL your kettlebell goals. Have a great weekend buddy!
I know, I know... I tend to get hard on myself from time to time. It's not like I'm a superman or anything!!
I did "breakdown" and schedule an appointment with a new doctor for Tuesday - a sports medicine specialist - to discuss my back. I'm tired of being in constant pain, regardless of how slight (or not) it might be. And I don't want it to go on for a full year (in August) never improving. Hopefully, I'll get some relief.
