Recuperation

Muscles tight today, particularly in my injured right lower back and my left hip.

I performed Intu-Flow Intermediate program followed by a few Compensatory movements to help open things up.

That's it for today.  Have a great weekend!!

How's the injury coming. I can only speak as an RKC, so I don't know much about rounding back during long cycle C&J.

I saw your video clip doing LCCJ and clean seems like a mixture of hard style and GS style. Back swing from rack seems to be going straight behind with rounded back. I see Sonnon's clip below that explaining the trajectory should be diagonal, not straight back.

I'm just worried. You basically don't get injured training. If so, there should be training method to correct it.

Hey Taikei!

Injury is moving along oh so slowly. And yes, as I have learned recently, my back has problems getting round. Perhaps from years of martial arts and weight lifting, my back is extremely rigid, but hyper-flexible along one or two disks in lumbar spine. I am now working on getting the natural curve back. It's going to take a long time.

Also with GS-style, during clean you rest your elbow on your hip bone. Because my hip was/is tilted, I was inadvertently putting load/strain on my twisted spine which is what cause the original injury.

Now it is just a long climb back. For now I will try to minimize twisting movements while getting the back strong again. Thanks for checking up on me.

Yeah, good that you're on track. And if you learn from your injury and how you got back on track, your students won't suffer the same consequence you experienced.

That would be a great asset to have.
