I was inspired to workout this morning
as I found a nice spot in a park across
the road from our hotel which sits on
the harbor.
Warmed up with a few 16kg Swings.
1-Arm Long Cycle Press: 16kg - 2 minutes (8L/8R)
1-Arm Long Cycle Push Press: 16kg - 2 minutes (10L/10R)
1-Arm Long Cycle (Jerk): 16kg - 2 minutes (10L/10R)
1-Arm Long Cycle Press: 16kg - 2 minutes (8L/8R)
1-Arm Long Cycle Push Press: 16kg - 2 minutes (10L/10R)
1-Arm Long Cycle (Jerk): 16kg - 2 minutes (10L/10R)
Swing: 16kg - 20L/20R
Cooldown with Z-Health R-Phase and some stretching.
I was enjoying being outside early in the morning and had a good amount of energy so I worked through two cycles with 2 minutes rest between each set. I brought a digital Count-Up timer with me and it was easier to keep the rest intervals at 2 minutes. When I get home it'll be time to reduce my rest.
That's it for today. Maybe one other session in the works for me on this trip - probably Friday. Then before you know it, we'll be back home.
I can say that so far, I am relaxed and enjoying myself. Eating lots of seafood and ice cream. Drinking some wine. Luckily, one can leave their car and walk wherever you want to go. That makes things very nice!

Yikes! lots of volume..good stuff!!!!
Whoa dude! So you are trying to fit in the whole week's worth of training on one day? Nice one Howie. I must say, I am very envious of the icecream, and yes, the wine, seafood, ocean air...it sounds great. Hope you are having a wonderful time.
Nice work...
How do you feel after that?
Next year work may not allow me to compete or travel as much so I'm definitely going to give the fitness protocol a shot.

Thanks Franz, not really a lot, just a little bit more than usual. And yes, good stuff!
Johan, I'm trying to work off the ice cream. And did I mention all the french fries!! Beautiful place to kick back and relax.
Catherine, it's a pleasure and an honor to have you stopping by. First Marty Farrel, now yourself. I never would have thought! Anyway, I felt great afterward. Ready for breakfast! Of course, I was pretty sweated up, but it is humid hear on the Cape. Turned out I ended up having a small breakfast, but a big lunch. And a big dinner planned now, Brazilian BBQ. Now this is what I call VACATION!
Nicely done, Howie. You're an inspiration. You brought along a kettlebell and actually used it, a lot. Sounds like you're enjoying yourself.
My pleasure Howie. I try to keep up on the blogs. Like seeing what everyone is doing with the KBs. Looking forward to seeing your progress and thoughts on the training.
Sounds like you are having a great vacation.

Aaron, you know what they say, Perspiration creates Inspiration! I think they say that... do they say that? If not, maybe they should.
Yes yes, vacation was very enjoyable. Did I mention that I ate a LOT of french fries?
